Curated Travel Planning
Hankering for a holiday but don’t have the bandwidth to plan it? Let me help.
Sure, there are travel agents out there who’d do the job. But would you be happy with an off-the-shelf package with a fixed itinerary and pre-decided stops? Or would you like to set your own pace doing only what you really want to do? Maybe you fancy checking out museums but not souvenir shops. Perhaps you want to skip the sights for adventure sports, or prefer night markets to night life. Whatever your interests, I can put together a bespoke curated itinerary for you.
Why me?
For one, I love planning trips! Having travelled to over 60 countries, most of them independently, I think I have this down to a fine art. Also, there is a fair chance that I’ve been to the place you wish to visit, which means I’m able to provide insider tips and suggestions based on experience. Even if it’s a place I’m not familiar with, I have the resources to find information that’s relevant to you.
So, how does this work?
- You: Get in touch (theuniversaladaptor@gmail.com)
- I: Send you a short online questionnaire
- You: Complete the questionnaire
- I: Revert in a few days with a draft itinerary
- You: Approve the itinerary or suggest changes
- I: Make changes as required and send you the final detailed itinerary
What does this service include?
- A complete travel plan with flight suggestions, accommodation options (based on your preferences), a day by day itinerary of things to do/see (based on your interests), restaurant and food recommendations, plus extras that would help take the stress away from your holiday
- Requests for minor information up until your trip
What does this service NOT include?
- Bookings of any kind – I will scour the Internet, find the most suitable options and send you the links, but will not tie you in by actually making the booking. From experience, I’ve learnt that the actual booking is best left to the person travelling.
- Real-time queries when you are actually at your destination – while this is not an issue per se, time zone differences often make it pointless.
What does this cost?
This service comes with a small fee which is dependent on the duration of your trip.
The charges (in USD) are as follows:
1- 4 days: $100
5 – 7 days: $150
8 – 10 days: $200
11 – 14 days: $250
15 days and more: On request

2018 was a mad year for me and I could barely spend time at home so planning a holiday, the way I normally do it, was an impossibility! I had almost given up the idea of traveling through South of Spain and was willing to compromise my 3 week plan for a one week in Bali or some place close. But then I heard that Manjula was willing to help. She was super professional and did a discover session trying to profile me as a traveler – identified my needs, quirks and passion points. The plan she put in place not just ended up helping me save a few dollars but she added another country as well into the mix and made the trip truly memorable.
I reached out again to her for my most recent holiday and found myself traveling to Fiji, a destination that was never on my list. Thank you Manjula and I selfishly hope you are never too busy to not plan my next holiday.

Manjula’s travel planning service was highly recommended by my friends and I’m glad that I got to a chance to plan my trip to Australia based on the travel itinerary that she so meticulously planned out for me.
The travel plan is created and personalized according to the travelers interests – be it art, museums, culture, popular spots, day trips and more. Being a foodie, the recommendations and choice of restaurants and places to eat were very helpful! Her tips on use of local transport, Airbnb options and day trip tour operators was very handy.
It is evident that she is a seasoned and experienced traveler looking at the extensive research and planning she undertakes to create the perfect travel itinerary. I highly recommend Manjula’s travel planning service and I’m all set for my next adventure, this time to Mexico City, thanks to Manjula’s great planning!
